The Diamonds have had an incredibly successful development programme for many years. In 2006 when rule changes determined that players under the age of 16 were no longer allowed to play with senior players, the Diamonds jumped at the chance to put an U16 team together and have had lots to celebrate since. The team won the U16 Playoff Trophy in 6 different seasons, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 as well as winning the U16s North Championship Shield every year between 2006 and 2014.

In the National Final at the 2022 Women's Trophy Weekend, the Diamonds missed out on the trophy by a whisker, losing out in heart-breaking fashion to the London Capitals.

In 2023 the Diamonds would finally seal the deal with a superb season winning the league title, and also the Playoff Final! It is a testament to our development program that many of the girls from previous U16s teams are now the driving force of our senior teams

Girls can register to play for the team at 10 years old but we do allow younger girls to train with us to help aid their development.

If you are a girl under 16 years old or have a daughter under 16 who would like to learn to play hockey or already plays hockey and would like to join the Diamonds U16 team please get in touch through our contact page.
